Shimmer Sarah

Today I have another gorgeous glitter by Shimmer Polish to share with you ladies.
This lovely glitter is Shimmer Sarah, it's a beautiful mix of teal, blue, purple and gold glitter. There is also a very delicate shimmer added to this polish, and it's all mixed in a slightly teal tinted base.
This shade is one of my favorite Shimmer polishes, it reminds me of a mermaid's tail, such a gorgeous and magical glitter!

I decided to create another glitter gradient with this polish, and layered it over a blue base. I applied two coats of  Barry M Blue Grape as the base (a beautiful royal blue shade, in a creme-jelly formula), then applied the glitter at the tips and pulled it towards the cuticle, creating a fading look. 

The base wasn't opaque completely at the free edge, so the glitter gradient was a great solution and covered the edges perfectly. As I've mentioned at my previous post featuring Shimmer polish, their formula is great for creating glitter gradients thanks to the variety of glitter sizes and the fact that you can get a generous amount of glitter with a single stroke.

I applied one coat of Seche Vite to smooth the glitter and add a shine to this look.

I think the final look of this manicure is quite lovely, the blue shade combined with this glitter makes me think of a magical mermaids swimming in a sparkly blue sea.

CHIC Sugar Baby № 1

In today's post starring one of the prettiest polishes from CHIC's Sugar Baby collection. This is a hypnotizing blue shade with a shimmery sugar effect.

This polish became my favorite thanks to it's unique look, it's beautiful royal color and the fabulous looks it has with and without a top coat.

הפורמפולה היתה נהדרת, מריחה קלה ומדוייקת, פיגמנט טוב שמאפשר אפילו כיסוי אחיד בשכבה אחת (אבן כפי שאתן יודעות, פרפקציוניסטית שכמותי מעדיפה שתי שכבות). ממה שיצא לי לבדוק, נראה שהקולקציה כולה בעלת פורמולה מוצלחת זו, מה שגורם לי לחבב אותה עוד יותר.
לתמונות השתמשתי בשתי שכבות של הלק CHIC Sugar Baby מס' 1, ללא טופ.

The formula was great, application was easy and percise, the pigment was good enough to allow great coverage with just one coat (but you already know me, I usually prefer two coats for a perfect finish). From what I've seen so far, it looks like the entire collection has the same great formula, which makes me like it even more.

For the photos below I applied two coats of CHIC Sugar Baby № 1.

היתה לי הרגשה ששווה לבדוק את הלק הזה עם טופ מבריק מעל. נכון שזה מבטל את הטקסטורה המיוחדת של הלק, אבל הייתי חייבת לנסות. כפי שאתן רואות, זה היה שווה את זה. מרחתי שתי שכבות של הטופ Seche Vite (לקים בעלי טקסטורה נוטים "לספוג" את הטופ, ולכן נדרשו שתי שכבות למראה חלק ואחיד) מעל הלק, והמראה המדהים לפניכן.
בזכות הטופ המבריק, הלק קיבל עומק מעניין וגימור מנצנץ במיוחד. המראה הזה גרם לי לחשוב על מעמקי אוקיינוס כחול וצלול, פשוט מקסים בעיני. תצטרכו להאמין לי שהתמונות לא מעבירות את היופי הזה מספיק טוב, אז אם הלק הזה ברשותכן, אני ממליצה לנסות את מה שעשיתי כדי להתרשם מהמראה היפה הזה במציאות.

I had a feeling that I should try this polish with a top coat, and I was happy I did. Tho a top coat cancels the texture of the polish, it was totally worth it to see this gorgeous sparkly look.

I applied two coats of Seche Vite, and as you can see this looked incredible.

Thanks to the glossy finish, the polish looked so sparkly and had a lovely depth. It actually made me think oh a blue and clear ocean, so lovely. Believe me when I say it was much prettier in person, so if you have the chance to try this for yourself, I tottaly recommend you do.

Under The Blue Blue Sea

I decided to spice up my blue nails from the previous post with a cute and fun design, so I reached for one of the new Born Pretty Store stamping plates and created this fish skeleton mani.

For the base I applied two coats of GA-DE Melody Blue, then I stamped the cute fish skeleton images from QA62 stamping plate using Essie No Place Like Chrome as the stamping polish. 

The QA62 stamping plate has some really cute designs on it like fish and fish skeletons, penguins and cute water drops with faces. These are quite funny designs with a bit of humor, so I really liked them.

The designs on this plate are a bit small, but as you can see I managed to stamp the full nail design with a single application, but if you have longer nails than mine, you can use these patterns easily twice on your nails without having weird patchy look.

For the thumb I used the large skeletons and stamped a few of them to create this pattern, but of course you can stamp a single image if you like.

For the ring finger I applied one coat of Essie Stroke Of Brilliance over the blue base, to add a bit of sparkle to the design. It also reminded me of water bubbles, but this is kinda cynical since these are fish skeletons. ;) 

To seal the design I applied one coat of Poshe.
