China Glaze Rendezvous With You

For today's post I will be sharing with you my favorite color from the China Glaze Autumn Nights collection - Rendezvous With You. I think this is the most interesting and beautiful polish in this collection, and I was very glad I got it because this is truly a great polish.

China Glaze Rendezvous With You is a gorgeous dark purple with tons of silver shimmer that almost gives it a foil look. The color itself is very interesting and it looks great in different lighting, each time he light brings out something different and interesting about this polish.
The formula was spectacular! It was super opaque with just one coat, spread easily without streaking and dried really fast. I don't think you can ask for anything better than this in a polish.
For the photos below I applied one coat, no top coat on.
I think this is a great polish in every aspect, and for me it easily became one of my favorites for the upcoming fall-winter season. Defiantly one of my best purchases lately!
Have you tried this color yet? I would love to know what you think about it, and if you haven't got the chance to try it, I would totally recommend you to keep an eye on this gorgeous polish, I have a feeling you will end up liking is as much as I do.

China Glaze Red-y & Willing

Shana Tova (Happy Jewish New Year) to all my dear readers!
For this festive holiday I decided to wear one of my new additions from the China Glaze Autumn Nights collection. I've purchased only three colors from this collection so far, but seeing swatches of these great colors only makes me want to get them all.

China Glaze Red-y & Willing is a gorgeous shimmery red. It has a fantastic and opaque formula, I just needed one coat for a great coverage. Application was really nice, not streaky at all and the finish was quite glossy. I really love this color and I think it's a classy and feminine shade.
For the photos I applied one coat of Red-y & Willing and topped it with one coat of Poshe.
I decided to get a little creative for Rosh Hashana, so I included in my photos pomegranate seeds which are one of this holiday's symbols.
I wish you a great year filled with joy, love and creativity!

China Glaze Infra Red

Today I have another swatch from the China Glaze Hologram collection to share with you.
China Glaze Infra Red is a pretty magenta holographic polish. Its formula was similar to When Stars Collide which I reviewed in the previous post, but the holographic effect was less impressive. I liked the fast drying time and the great coverage this polish gives with just one coat. For the photos I used two coats alone.
I also found it hard to catch it's holo effect on camera, so it actually looked a bit more holo in real life. This is a very pretty and vibrant color, but the holographic effect was too subtle to my taste.

China Glaze When Stars Collide

Today's I have a swatch of a lovely China Glaze holographic polish from the recent Hologram collection. There was a big buzz around this collection when it was out, and everyone were curious about these, whether they are as holo as described or not. Some swatches showed them with a glorious and delicious effect, and some were so dull that you could have think there are not holo at all.
I've had this polish in my untried stash for a while, and today I decided to finally swatch it and see how it will look on a sunny day.

China Glaze When Stars Collide is a maroon (or a brownish-plum?) with a subtle holographic effect. Apparently it's holo effect is one of the strongest in the collection, so I'm not sure if I should call it subtle or not, but this wasn't the strongest holo I've tried.
The color is very beautiful and interesting to my eyes, this was one of the reasons I wanted it to begin with. The color reminded me of another holo polish by Dance Legend - Optical Illusion that I've swatched before, but it's effect wasn't even close to DL.
The formula was very good and spread evenly and easily. I used two coats for the photos, tho it was very opaque with one coat. I might need to test it for stamping, I have a good feeling this could be a great stamping polish thanks to it's density. It dried quickly and left me very impressed with the formula.
Overall I liked this polish, but I wish the holographic effect was stronger. On the other hand, if you are looking for a subtle effect, this might just be the one for you.

Neon Butterfly Wings

Hello there lovely ladies!
In this post I want to share with you another butterfly wings manicure I made with the Nailz Craze NC01 plate, this time I did a neon version to suit the summer time.
I had also attempted to film a video tutorial for you to demonstrate how I work to apply this design, but unfortunately this was quite a bad turnout and I realized that filming tutorials is just too hard for me. I get all so nervous and self consensus, everything is going so wrong, it's just a complete disaster! I might ask someone to try and film me in the future, maybe it will go better, but for now I will stick to creating manicures and taking photos of them, and maybe occasionally make pictorials.

Lucky for me (and you!) I found an awesome video tutorial made by missdrea33 on YouTube, demonstrating how to create the butterfly manicure in a few easy steps. I have to admit, I couldn't have done it any better myself! She does such a great job explaining how to use the plate and the stamper, how much polish to use and how to work best with the scraper. Her work technique is the same as mine, so I defiantly recommend you to check this butterfly wings stamping tutorial to learn how to work with this plate and get good results. If you are relatively new to stamping, it will take a bit of practice to align the design perfectly, and you might need to make a few touch ups, but I think it's worth giving a try to get these pretty wings on your nails.

To create this design I started with a white base (Wet n Wild French White Creme), and picked two of my favorite neon colors for the gradient - China Glaze Shocking Pink and That's Shore Bright.
I applied one coat of the beautiful Barry M Diamond Glitter to add some sparkle to my design.
I stamped the butterfly wings from Nailz Craze NC01 plate, using Konad's Black stamping polish. For the white dots I used the same white polish as I used for the base.
To seal the design I applied one thick coat of Poshe Top Coat.

It was quite difficult to capture the neons on camera, the colors just didn't look true to life so I had to work on the photos a bit to get a better result that will reflect the real colors, and still the colors were much prettier in real life.
This is actually my third recreation of the butterfly wings design, and it's kinda funny to see how much I improved over this past year and half, when I first started blogging. The first time I created this design was a year and a half ago, when I just created the Nailz Craze brand and the first plate, and I was quite new to stamping then (geez, what's with the huge watermark?!).
The second attempt was a little less that a year ago, which I was also pretty proud of at the time, but looking back, I totally like the current version on this manicure.
I hope that showing you these old designs of mine will make you keep going and practicing even if you don't get it perfect at your fist attempt. And don't forget to have fun! After all, it's just nail art.
I hope you enjoyed my butterfly wings design, hopefully you didn't fell asleep while reading this post. ;)

My 1st Attemp at Water Marble Nail Art

Hello dear readers!

Today, I'm excited to show you my first attempt at water marbling :) I know I'm years too late to try this trend. In my case, this was not as easy as it seems... you have to choose the right nail polishes otherwise, you'll end up with a blob of polish on the bottom of the cup of water... it happened to to me before :'( and for this reason, I thought trying more would be a waste of time and precious nail polish.

I have to admit that I love to watch water marble YouTube videos (I find them relaxing for some strange reason). The whole process is fascinating and the end results amazing. I know this manicure is not spectacular as many other water marbles out there... but, bear with me... it's only my 1st attempt ;)

For this manicure, I used three China Glaze nail polishes from the Avant Garden collection: Passion for Petals, Fancy Pants and Dandy Lyin' Around. The base of this manicure is Passion for Petals as well. I found that most China Glaze nail polishes are good for water marbling.

As you can see, the swirls of nail polish are not as much. This is because I was experimenting and I just added a few drops of each color in case I failed... but in the end, I really like the randomness of the lines.
Have you tried water marbling? What do you think of my first attempt?
♥♥Thank you so much for reading♥♥

China Glaze Hologlam - Strap on your Moonboots

Hello dear readers!

Today I want to show you swatches of China Glaze  - Strap on your Moonboots.

This nail polish is part of the Hologlam collection. There are 12 different holographic nail polishes but this one is one of my favorite colors.

Strap on your Moonboots is a stunning navy blue holographic nail polish. Formula-wise, it is pigmented enough with 2 coats. As for the application, I had a few problems because the nail polish was goopy in consistency...the nail polish cap was loose when it arrived and I think that's the reason and not a problem the formula.

The holographic finish is different from CG previous holographic collections, it is linear and the particles are very fine...I also like that it has a metallic sheen to it that I've never seen on other holographic collections.

Do you own a nail polish form China Glaze Hologlam Collection?
If not, what do you think of this color?

♥♥Thank you for reading♥♥
