China Glaze Infra Red

Today I have another swatch from the China Glaze Hologram collection to share with you.
China Glaze Infra Red is a pretty magenta holographic polish. Its formula was similar to When Stars Collide which I reviewed in the previous post, but the holographic effect was less impressive. I liked the fast drying time and the great coverage this polish gives with just one coat. For the photos I used two coats alone.
I also found it hard to catch it's holo effect on camera, so it actually looked a bit more holo in real life. This is a very pretty and vibrant color, but the holographic effect was too subtle to my taste.

China Glaze When Stars Collide

Today's I have a swatch of a lovely China Glaze holographic polish from the recent Hologram collection. There was a big buzz around this collection when it was out, and everyone were curious about these, whether they are as holo as described or not. Some swatches showed them with a glorious and delicious effect, and some were so dull that you could have think there are not holo at all.
I've had this polish in my untried stash for a while, and today I decided to finally swatch it and see how it will look on a sunny day.

China Glaze When Stars Collide is a maroon (or a brownish-plum?) with a subtle holographic effect. Apparently it's holo effect is one of the strongest in the collection, so I'm not sure if I should call it subtle or not, but this wasn't the strongest holo I've tried.
The color is very beautiful and interesting to my eyes, this was one of the reasons I wanted it to begin with. The color reminded me of another holo polish by Dance Legend - Optical Illusion that I've swatched before, but it's effect wasn't even close to DL.
The formula was very good and spread evenly and easily. I used two coats for the photos, tho it was very opaque with one coat. I might need to test it for stamping, I have a good feeling this could be a great stamping polish thanks to it's density. It dried quickly and left me very impressed with the formula.
Overall I liked this polish, but I wish the holographic effect was stronger. On the other hand, if you are looking for a subtle effect, this might just be the one for you.

El Corazon Fireworks Collection sneak peek

Today I have another exciting post to share with you, featuring some breath-taking polishes by El Corazon from the Fireworks collection. There are just too amazing for words, I find it hard to describe how pretty they are and even pictures won't be able to capture their beauty.

El Corazon Fireworks collection includes 9 colors, all of these are equally gorgeous. They consist of a jelly formula, containing small holographic bar glitter which sparkle beautifully both in the sun and in shade. The four colors I received from the company for a review are all beautiful to my eyes, I find it hard to pick a favorite, and I'm sure you will love them as much as I do
I first saw this gorgeous collection first at Anna's blog, and it was hard to resist them. I can defiantly say it was love from first sight!
I was lucky to receive these four beautiful polishes for a review, and these are the colors in the pictures from Left to right: Fireworks fw-02 (Black), fw-05 (Blue toned purple), fw-06 (Red toned purple) and fw-03 (Berry).
I hope to share with you my swatches of these beautiful polishes soon!

Fireworks № fw-02

Fireworks № fw-05

Fireworks № fw-06

Fireworks № fw-03

Since it was hard to catch their beauty in still photos, I decided to make a short video with bottle shots of these four polishes so you can see how amazing the El Corazon Fireworks collection is in person.
Thank you for reading, hope you will enjoy this post and the video!

Beauty Berry - Thermal Nail Polish by Cameo Colours Lacquers

Hello dear readers!

I want to show you some swatches from Beauty Berry a thermal nail polish by Cameo Colours Lacquers. It is part of its thermolinear collection which means it changes colors with temperature and also has a linear holographic effect. (Click here to see swatches of another thermolinear color I posted previously).

Here you can see the beauty of this nail polish at regular temperature.

When cold, the nail polish turns completely purple.

Then, it turns pink with warm temperature.

Overall, this nail polish applies nicely and is pigmented. I'm very happy with the quality this brand offers. Holographic and thermal are two types of nail polish that I love and this is such a perfect combination.
For info on where to buy this nail polish you can go to Cameo Colours FB

*This nail polish was purchased by me. The opinion expressed of this product is solely my own.

Do you like this thermal color combo?

Holographic Skittle Manicure and Stamping

Hello dear readers!

This is my first post after my painful thumbnail breakage... as you can see, I managed to keep some length.

It's been months since I purchased my Color Club Halo Hues collection and still they were sitting unused in a dark corner of my nail polish drawer. This time I thought it was a good idea to put 5 of them to good use and do a skittle manicure.

The Color Club colors that I used are as pictured on the pic below from left to right:
Cosmic Fate, Over the Moon, Kismet, Eternal Beauty, and Angel Kiss

I stamped a pattern from my Bunny Nails HD-A plate using Kleancolor black.

Both of my hands, can you believe I took this pic myself? :-)

What do you think of my attempt on the skittle manicure?

Cameo Colours Lacquers - Poison Apple - Thermal Nail Polish

Hello dear readers!

I decided to post for the 2nd time this week because I couldn't wait to show you swatches of this awesome nail polish. This from an indie nail polish brand called Cameo Colours Lacquers. Poison Apple is part of their Thermolinear collection. This thermal beauty changes from brown when cool to a salmon color when warm. This is not only a mood or thermal nail polish, it is also a linear holographic nail polish.

Here you can see the beautiful thermal effect. This effect is due to the temperature difference between the nail bed and the free edge. *You don't need crazy long nails in order to get the gradient effect, just a few millimeters of nail length will be good enough ;)

Now, when your body temperature is warm enough, your nails will be entirely salmon color.

When cold, your nails will be dressed in a brown shade... can you see the linear holographic effect?
Application wise, I needed apply 2 coats to reach this opacity. This nail polish  applies like a dream, no streaks or bald spots. I am in love with both, thermal and holographic effects, so this nail polish was worth every penny.

For info on where to buy this nail polish you can go to Cameo Colours FB

What do you think of this nail polish?
What other color combinations would you like to see in a thermal nail polish?
I personally would like to see a black/red color :)
